New Deaths Records for NSW 1795

Recently located lurking in the Colonial Office records was a list of deaths for NSW 1795. Historian Cathy Dunn has crossed referenced this list with the burial records of St Phillips Sydney and St Johns Parramatta resulting in 11 new death details for 1795 for which no burial records exists.

11 Jan 1795: Mary Watson, Women of Military. Her death was previous known due to evidence of her headstone at Old Sydney Burial Ground, wife of William Watson Private NSW Corps.

24 Feb 1795: Richard Turpheny, convict.  most likely Richard Serphaney, convict Active 1791.

13 Mar 1795: Mary Smith, child of convict under two years.

23 Mar 1795: James Thomas, child of convict under two years.

27 Apr 1795: William H Wimpery, convict. William Henry Wimprey, convict, Active 1791.

1 Jun 1795: John Harris, convict.

12 Jun 1795: Joseph Wilkinson, convict.

20 Sep 1795: Mary Jones, convict.

24 Sep 1795: Robert Hallum, convict

28 Dec 1795: Charlotte Stroud, child of convict under two years. Daughter of George Loder and Charlotte Stroud.
